"For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth.”  Ps.71:5 (NKJV)

Greetings to all the Christian youth of America!  We desire God’s blessing upon you wherever you are.  May the peace, grace and guidance of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you daily and may you be full of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

We are a youth group from Detroit, MI from Piladelphia Pentecostal Church, pastored by brother Florian Mudura.  Within our church we are involved in a variety of activities such as:  prayer exhortation (call to prayer), meditation on God’s word (preaching), music through the worship group, band, choir and also youth meetings.

1.  Prayer exhortation and meditation on God’s word (preaching).  Each month, usually on the last Sunday, the evening service is led and sustained by the young people.  For the service to succeed we uphold one another in prayer; we also help out with our church’s evangelism department.

2.  Our youth meetings are held Monday night. Within these meetings we study God’s word, prayer, praise and worship.  At the time being, our study is geared toward discipleship and principles of Christian living.  During these meetings we submit to the leading of God’s Spirit who works in wonderous ways.  Many young people have been baptized in the Holy Spirit, and others were refilled.

3.  Praise and worship group.  Every Sunday, this group enriches the church service with uplifting songs, for the glory and exhaltation of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Besides this group of six years experience in our church, a new worship group of teenagers from the next generation is being organized.  God has touched the hearts of some youth, who’s desire is to contribute wholeheartedly to the Lord’s ministry.

             a.  The church band is formed of youth dedicated to service.
        b.  Among more elderly choir members there are also youth, who were quickly and well integrated
.

4.  Sunday school.  Inside our church there are three groups of children divided by age.  The teachers of these groups are young people who have felt a special calling to raise others up.

5.  We also have mission activities among our youth such as viziting senior homes and prisons in Detroit.  Outside our church, we are involved in activities such as Charity Cup, where we work as volunteers.  Some of us went with this mission to Moldova last year.  Others helped organize activities such as volleyball, soccer, ping-pong tournaments, ice-cream socials and a car wash. Our purpose and vision for the future is to be completely useful in God’s work wherever He needs us.
